‘Secret’ internship lists to which one can gain access by commenting/connecting are the demonic email chains of LinkedIn. If one were really being generous, they would forego the algorithm-feeding requirements and just link to the promised resource directly.

Also, what’s the point of coercing strangers into connecting with you? It isn’t as if you’re going to have a conversation with each of your 1000+ new connections, or use them to network your way into a new position.

I can only hope the collected email addresses aren’t being used to market something.
